The much-anticipated Forward Edge Cybersecurity Bootcamp 4.0 officially commenced on June 21, 2025, with an inspiring opening ceremony that set the tone for an exciting and transformative learning journey.
The event opened with a compelling welcome address by Mr. Moyosore Kukoyi, CEO of Forward Edge Consulting Ltd. In his speech, Mr. Kukoyi assured participants of an exceptional learning experience and a supportive, inclusive community. He emphasized that this assurance is grounded not in assumptions, but in the overwhelmingly positive reviews and testimonials from participants of previous cohorts. He confidently stated that attendees would build a solid foundation in cybersecurity that will set them up for long-term success in their tech careers.
Following the opening remarks, the participants dove into their first technical session, led by seasoned instructor Mr. John Akerele. He guided them through the installation of key cybersecurity tools such as VirtualBox, Kali Linux, Metasploitable, and others. Mr. Akerele worked closely with participants to resolve installation challenges, ensuring everyone had a smooth and productive experience.

The day ended on a high note with photo sessions and shared excitement, as participants bonded and expressed eagerness for the journey ahead.
The bootcamp is scheduled to resume on July 1, 2025, allowing time to ensure that all facilities and resources required for the intensive hands-on training are fully prepared. The break also provides an opportunity for those who expressed interest but couldn’t join on the first day to catch up and become part of the cohort before the intensive sessions begin.
With such a strong start, Bootcamp 4.0 is set to deliver on its promise to equip the next generation of cybersecurity professionals with the skills, knowledge, and community needed to thrive in the tech industry.
